Middleware Architect

About the role

The Middleware Architect will define, standardize, and evolve the enterprise middleware and integration architecture to meet growing digital, partner, and internal platform demands. This role provides technical leadership to align business requirements with cloud‑native, API‑driven solutions while reducing operational risk and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures, design standards, and patterns for middleware, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Architect cloud‑native, containerized services and integration solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
• Govern the full API lifecycle, including design guidelines, versioning, traffic management, and consumption models.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and operations teams to ensure observability, automation, and platform readiness for production workloads.
• Provide architectural guidance, conduct design reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
• Engage with stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to ensure solution alignment and integration readiness.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of IT experience with a proven track record in middleware, integration, or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale, cloud‑native architectures supporting high‑volume workloads.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to align cross‑functional teams.
