NPI Supplier Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an NPI Supplier Engineer to join its New Product Introduction team in Singapore. You will act as the bridge between product development engineers and the supplier base, ensuring engineering drawing requirements are clear and that designs are manufacturable.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with New Product Development teams to define and communicate engineering drawing requirements to suppliers.
• Involve suppliers early in specification reviews to promote design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Lead supplier selection, technical audits, and performance evaluations to build a competitive supply base.
• Manage quality problem resolution, incident handling, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers.

Required profile

• Experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry and with build‑to‑print (BTP) components.
• Proven ability to work with mechanical and electrical product development engineers on DFM improvements.
• Capability to lead small projects, solve complex problems and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build consensus and present NPI updates to management.
