Operations Engineer, Server & Infrastructure

About the role

The Operations Engineer will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of a multi‑country corporate server environment. You will work with both Windows and Linux platforms, virtualization technologies, and a range of supporting services to ensure high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain corporate server infrastructure across multiple countries, including virtualization platforms, Windows and Linux systems, and associated services.
• Plan, test, and execute OS, firmware and infrastructure patching with rollback and compliance tracking.
• Manage monitoring, alerting, backup operations, verification, scheduled restores and recovery checks.
• Administer virtualization platforms (host lifecycle, capacity, VM provisioning, inventory, migrations).
• Provide operational support for Active Directory and related identity services, including migrations and regional cut‑overs.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and recurring issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for patching, provisioning, reporting and system checks.
• Maintain accurate runbooks, documentation, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours maintenance and on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating production server infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE, VMware vSphere/vCenter) or equivalents.
• Practical experience with patch management and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience administering Windows Server and enterprise Active Directory environments.
• Linux administration experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
