Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Management Manager to lead a team of production employees in Singapore. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety, and delivering high‑quality manufacturing output that supports the company’s semiconductor and advanced display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, develop and train production staff, assigning work and setting priorities.
• Provide technical expertise and managerial leadership across daily cross‑functional issues.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material availability.
• Lead operational meetings, establish consistent processes, and align tactical and strategic plans.
• Develop and track performance metrics to improve cycle‑time and overall efficiency.
• Respond promptly to operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with customer/vendor requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment, enforce EHS training, and monitor safety compliance.
• Manage talent through hiring, performance management, career development and disciplinary actions.
• Analyze capacity, implement process improvements, and report key measurement data.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading production or manufacturing teams in a high‑tech environment.
• Strong ability to communicate across all levels of manufacturing and resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Demonstrated track record of improving operational metrics and cycle‑time performance.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing hiring, training, performance reviews and employee development.
