About the role
The School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver the undergraduate core course DF5002 Cinematography 2 starting January 2027. The 13‑week module builds on Cinematography 1 and prepares students for professional roles as directors of photography.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions covering advanced cinematography aesthetics and techniques.
- Guide student projects from concept development, screenwriting, production and post‑production through to final image colour grading.
- Provide critical feedback on student work and assess performance throughout the semester.
Required profile
- Master’s and/or PhD in Cinematography or a closely related field, with a proven record of creative practice in film production.
- Prior undergraduate teaching experience is preferred; exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and extensive industry experience may also be considered.
