Patient Service Assistant – Emergency Dept (3‑Shift, No Experience Required)

About the role

The Patient Service Assistant (PSA) will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors in the Emergency Department of Novena Hospital. This entry‑level position offers full training and a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where you will support clinical staff and ensure smooth administrative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients and visitors, capturing accurate personal and insurance information.
• Process billing and payment transactions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Schedule appointments and manage inbound/outbound calls, faxes, and emails.
• Monitor observation wards and prepare necessary medical documents for doctors' review.
• Coordinate admission and discharge processes, liaising with clinical teams and ancillary services.

Required profile

• Fresh or entry‑level candidates with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work three rotating shifts over a six‑day week, including weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable handling high‑stress, customer‑service situations.
