Preschool Teacher

About the role

The Preschool Teacher delivers engaging lessons for children across all class levels, prepares learning resources, and ensures a safe, nurturing environment. The role also involves partnering with parents and the wider school community to support holistic child development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons using varied teaching techniques aligned with curriculum guidelines.
• Conduct literacy assessments and design individualized language activities.
• Prepare learning materials, set up learning centres (Math, Science, English, Chinese, Art & Crafts) and update displays.
• Monitor each child’s development, maintain developmental profiles, and conduct parent‑teacher conferences.
• Oversee daily care routines including meals, milk feeds, baths, diaper changes, temperature checks, and medication administration.
• Communicate regularly with parents via communication books, newsletters, or class blogs.
• Participate in centre events, field trips, and administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Preschool Education (DPE‑T) or Early Childhood Care Education (DECCE) or equivalent.
• 5 credits in English and Mother Tongue at GCE O‑Levels.
• 2‑3 years of experience in early childhood settings.
• Strong knowledge of current early childhood development theories and practices.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management abilities.
• Creative, passionate about inclusive preschool education and comfortable working with families.
