Preventive Maintenance Engineer – Process Manufacturing (Edible Oil)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Preventive Maintenance Engineer to join our process manufacturing plant specializing in edible oil production. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of critical plant equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for plant machinery, rotating equipment and utilities.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct root‑cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production and operations teams to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Support maintenance activities for pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers and steam systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history and spare‑parts inventory using a CMMS.
• Assist with plant shutdowns, equipment overhauls and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure all activities comply with workplace safety, GMP, HACCP and plant operational standards.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in edible oil, food manufacturing, FMCG, chemical, refinery or similar process‑plant environments.
• Hands‑on experience with rotating equipment, pumps, motors, compressors and plant utilities.
• Familiarity with preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and CMMS usage.
