Principal CRM Engineer

About the role

STARHUB LTD. is looking for a Principal CRM Engineer to define and evolve the architecture of its core Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Order Management (OM) platforms. You will lead the design of a scalable, resilient, and future‑ready platform that powers customer onboarding, sales journeys, and fulfillment for the Consumer Business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own end‑to‑end architecture of CRM/OM platforms across customer management, product catalogue, campaigns, order management, and revenue/billing integration.
• Establish architectural principles for microservices, API design, workflow orchestration, and data management.
• Design and optimise workflow orchestration for order lifecycle processes, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
• Identify system bottlenecks and drive performance improvements across APIs, databases, and workflows.
• Define data architecture, ensuring consistency, integrity, and efficient flow across CRM, provisioning, and billing systems.
• Set API and integration standards, including versioning, idempotency, and reliability patterns.
• Lead platform modernisation, migrating legacy CRM systems to cloud‑native architecture.
• Reduce technical debt through modularisation, decoupling, and standardisation.
• Implement observability and reliability strategies with proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Collaborate with DevOps to design cloud‑native solutions using Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Act as technical authority, conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in system architecture and large‑scale distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design, evolve, and operate enterprise‑critical platforms.
