Principal Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Principal Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining manufacturing methods, operation sequences and processes for parts, components, sub‑assemblies and final assemblies. The role works closely with design engineering to coordinate new product releases and ensures cost‑effective production through accurate cost estimation and tooling recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences and processes for all product levels.
• Coordinate with design engineering to release new products and support existing lines.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Maintain records and reporting systems to support manufacturing operations coordination.

Required profile

• Knowledge of analytical instruments such as Atomic Spectroscopy and instrument automation platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze, develop and improve business processes and systems.
• Proven capability to lead change, establish operational metrics and drive continuous improvement, including lean manufacturing principles.
