Principal Platform Architect

About the role

The Principal Platform Architect acts as a trusted advisor on enterprise platform strategy and governance, ensuring ServiceNow remains healthy, scalable, and aligned with customer objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the platform vision and strategy in line with enterprise IT and business goals.
• Provide architectural guidance to ensure designs follow platform standards and best practices.
• Shape and enforce governance frameworks covering instance strategy, integrations, and data models.
• Facilitate platform governance forums to drive consistent decisions across partners and teams.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks related to scalability, performance, and technical debt.
• Influence adoption of leading practices across customers, partners, and ServiceNow teams.
• Deliver structured feedback to ServiceNow product and engineering groups.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution strategy, and program leadership.
• Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and influence platform direction.
• Track record of defining enterprise‑scale architectures and governance models.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows, decision‑making, or problem‑solving.
• ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or similar certifications highly desirable.
