Process Engineer – Etch (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

About the role

SSMC is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join its Etch team in a cutting‑edge semiconductor fab environment. You will drive new process development, transfer existing processes, and continuously improve yield and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and transfer new etch processes to production.
• Optimize existing processes to enhance yield, productivity and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process‑related issues on the shop floor.
• Maintain and improve process capability metrics such as CpK.
• Qualify and release equipment to meet manufacturing capacity needs.
• Identify and qualify alternate sources for cost reduction.
• Plan and execute engineering projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives (10k ideas, LSS, BKM).
• Set up, monitor and maintain SPC charts and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing (fresh graduates welcomed with training).
• Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor devices, electronics, digital principles and wafer‑fabrication processes.
• Strong communication, presentation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Team‑player with a detail‑oriented, responsible attitude and ability to work under time pressure.
