Process Sciences Manager

About the role

Takeda is seeking a Process Sciences Manager to lead the Manufacturing Sciences Laboratory. The role involves overseeing laboratory personnel, managing budgets, and ensuring that small‑scale upstream and downstream experiments meet global and local quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the laboratory team, defining scope, schedule, budget and resources.
• Plan, design and execute small‑scale experiments and analytical testing in compliance with Takeda standards.
• Develop and implement quality standards, analytical methods, and scale‑down models for existing and new products.
• Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams (GMSci, other sites) to support product characterization, process improvements and deviations.
• Review and approve protocols, reports and data generated from laboratory studies.
• Coach personnel in technical and soft‑skill development and contribute to the Global Manufacturing Sciences community.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading laboratory teams in a manufacturing sciences environment.
• Strong understanding of process development, scale‑down modeling and analytical method implementation.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources and cross‑functional collaborations.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to coach and develop staff.
