Procurement Buyer – Offshore Energy Projects

About the role

Hanwha Ocean EPU is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage the end‑to‑end sourcing of equipment and services for offshore and onshore energy projects. You will work closely with package managers and engineers to ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement that supports project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Package Manager and Engineer to define scope and requirements.
• Obtain supplier interest, secure NDAs, and compile pre‑RFQ documentation.
• Issue RFQs, qualify bidders, and manage bid submission timelines.
• Review bids for completeness, conduct technical and commercial clarification meetings.
• Negotiate contracts, collaborate with Legal & Contract Manager, and prepare commercial bid evaluations.
• Create purchase requisitions, expedite PO issuance, and manage change orders.
• Monitor supplier invoices and ensure alignment with contractual payment milestones.
• Anticipate and manage potential claims until PO close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise in sourcing, market and supplier analysis, negotiation, and contract formulation.
• Strong time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
