Product Engineer – Cybersecurity Architect – Product & Innovation

About the role

We are partnering with a leading technology‑driven telecommunications organisation expanding its cybersecurity capabilities to support new digital initiatives, innovation projects and critical infrastructure. The role focuses on designing, assessing and delivering secure architectures for product and innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review cybersecurity architectures for enterprise, telecom and critical‑infrastructure environments.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, risk assessments and security gap analyses.
• Define security requirements for new platforms, applications, APIs, cloud and infrastructure projects.
• Design security solutions covering IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, network security, API security, cloud security and multi‑cloud infrastructure.
• Develop encryption, PKI, certificate lifecycle, secrets management and cryptographic services.
• Evaluate cybersecurity technologies, support RFP/RFQ processes and perform technical evaluations.
• Assess security requirements for AI/ML, Generative AI and air‑gapped environments.
• Produce high‑level designs, security architecture documents and reference architectures.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of overall cybersecurity/IT experience, including at least 3 years in security architecture or engineering.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale security architecture and technology transformation initiatives.
• Background in telecommunications, critical infrastructure or large‑scale technology environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or CISM are a plus.
