Production Manager

About the role

Evonik is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead its chemical production operations on Jurong Island. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities, guaranteeing quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate maintenance, turnaround (TAR), and project execution.
• Mentor team leaders and schedule regular meetings with shift supervisors.
• Identify training needs, allocate resources, and deliver part of the training program.
• Drive continuous improvement processes across plant and administrative functions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical production.
• Willingness to work on Jurong Island (company transport provided).
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with root‑cause analysis tools such as fishbone and ABC analysis.
• Experience using SAP and standard office software.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance in chemical manufacturing.
