Project Engineer (Building Construction)

About the role

The role supports the Assistant Project Manager in delivering residential, industrial and commercial building projects. You will interpret plans, estimate costs and ensure technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project plans and estimate construction costs and material quantities.
• Assist in preparing temporary works plans, designs and drawings.
• Provide technical engineering input for tenders to ensure compliance with standards, codes and design instructions.
• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates and documentation for tender and contract bids.
• Develop and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and other technical professionals to ensure design intent is fulfilled.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
• Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices.
• Familiarity with tender and bidding processes, engineering standards, and local building, construction and safety regulations.
• Willingness and ability to attend construction sites as required.
