Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our project delivery team. Working closely with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary consultants, you will help plan, coordinate and execute construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Study and interpret structural, architectural and M&E drawings, identifying coordination gaps and constructability issues before site work begins.
• Develop method statements and work sequences for complex structural and architectural works.
• Prepare and maintain short‑term construction programmes linked to the master schedule, flagging critical path activities and proposing recovery measures.
• Manage the RFA/RFI process, coordinating with consultants and the design team to obtain timely design decisions.
• Identify technical challenges on site (ground conditions, structural interfaces, sequencing conflicts, material constraints) and propose engineered solutions.
• Support the Project Manager with technical submissions, including temporary works designs.
• Participate in value‑engineering exercises, suggesting cost‑saving, buildability or programme‑shortening ideas.
• Promote standardisation, prefabrication and DfMA approaches to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure all temporary works (falsework, formwork, shoring, excavation support) are designed, checked and approved.
• Take part in weekly safety inspections and toolbox meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Singapore.
