Project Manager

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead on‑site implementation of Building Management System (BMS) projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, budget, and schedule; plan and oversee multiple small‑to‑medium scale projects.
• Coordinate communication with customers throughout all project phases.
• Manage subcontractors, supervise on‑site work, and ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, and performance specifications.
• Identify risks, recommend resolutions, and handle variation orders.
• Control costs, track financial commitments, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Collaborate with the sales team on tender bidding and manage procurement of materials.
• Supervise Assistant Project Engineer and technicians, conduct quality audits, and oversee commissioning.
• Follow up on customer payments, supplier invoices, and provide first‑year warranty support.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in BMS or building automation projects.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to work odd hours when project timelines demand.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
