Project Officer – Climate Transformation Programme

About the role

The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Project Officer to support the Climate Transformation Programme (CTP). The role provides comprehensive administrative, financial and operational assistance to ensure the programme’s research projects are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with university and funding agency policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day research project activities, including finance, procurement and coordination.
• Process purchase requisitions, orders, goods receipts and reimbursement claims in line with university and funder guidelines.
• Monitor project budgets, maintain accurate financial records and support budget tracking and reporting.
• Organise project meetings, workshops, seminars and travel arrangements for local and overseas collaborators.
• Liaise with principal investigators, researchers, funding agencies and NTU shared services to facilitate smooth project implementation.
• Maintain project records, databases and track deliverables, milestones and performance indicators.
• Prepare progress, financial and audit reports for funding agencies and university management.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, funding agency requirements and governance procedures.
• Perform ad‑hoc administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Science, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in project administration, finance or grant management.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, planning and coordination abilities.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
