Purchasing Manager

About the role

Avani Singapore is opening a new lifestyle hotel and needs an experienced Purchasing Manager to build the procurement function from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead sourcing, supplier management and procurement controls to ensure the hotel launches with the right products, services and cost efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pre‑opening procurement workstream, including supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, OS&E procurement and purchasing process implementation.
• Build and maintain a reliable network of suppliers, service providers and business partners for both opening and ongoing operations.
• Source, negotiate and secure competitive agreements while maintaining quality and brand standards.
• Partner with operational departments to forecast requirements, monitor inventory levels and support operational readiness.
• Manage purchase requests, purchase orders and supplier performance in line with company policies.
• Support the Director of Finance with procurement controls, governance processes and cost‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Purchasing Manager or similar procurement leadership role within hospitality.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and procurement administration skills.
• Experience sourcing operational supplies, equipment and services for hotel operations.
• Pre‑opening hotel experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Singapore procurement practices, sourcing landscape and supplier ecosystem.
• Fluent in English.
