Qualified Person (Supervision and Geotechnical)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Qualified Person to lead supervision and geotechnical aspects of civil engineering, tunneling and related projects in Singapore. The role combines technical oversight, regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination to ensure safe and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all civil engineering, tunneling, and geotechnical works related to the project.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify quality and safety of construction activities.
• Act as the Qualified Person (Supervision) or Qualified Person (Geotechnical) as required.
• Provide expert guidance on technical and regulatory matters.
• Review and approve construction methodologies and geotechnical design proposals.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to align project objectives.

Required profile

• Valid practising certificate in Civil Engineering issued by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Minimum 8 years experience supervising civil engineering and tunnelling works of similar complexity.
• At least 4 years experience as a Professional Engineer on comparable civil contracts.
• Valid practising certificate as a specialist Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Engineering issued by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Minimum 8 years experience supervising geotechnical aspects of projects similar to the civil contract.
