Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects for HXT Construction across Singapore. You will be responsible for accurate cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration and final account settlement, working closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take‑offs and tender documents based on drawings and specifications.
• Review and negotiate quotations, contracts and commercial terms with contractors and suppliers.
• Manage progress claims, verify completed works and ensure accurate valuation for payment applications.
• Evaluate and control variation orders, monitoring project costs against approved budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships.
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts and maintain comprehensive contract documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
• Female candidates are preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Quantity Surveying software.
