Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Singapore. The role involves managing progress claims, tender documentation, and cost control for projects on Jurong Island. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure commercial accuracy and timely submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and follow up on monthly progress claims.
• Assess completed work and compile supporting documents for claim submissions.
• Develop cost estimates, quotations, tender documents and manage contract tender submissions.
• Review tender requirements, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and produce project cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare and assess variation orders, additional work claims and final accounts.
• Verify subcontractor progress claims and recommend payments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, claims, variations and project correspondence.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction progress claims and tender submissions.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, costing and quantity measurement.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
