Quantity Surveyor – Construction Tender & Site Management

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the Project Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing the full tendering cycle and on‑site cost control for construction projects. This role combines detailed estimating work with active coordination of subcontractors, clients and government agencies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation, including sourcing quotations, quantity take‑offs and Bill of Quantities.
• Attend tender briefings, site tours and interviews; handle post‑tender clarifications and questionnaires.
• Develop detailed breakdown pricing and respond to client queries on submitted tenders.
• Participate in on‑site and consultant meetings, liaising with architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with government agencies and prepare method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Supervise subcontractors and site workers, ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor site progress, record productivity data and propose alternative work methods to improve efficiency.
• Manage permits, conduct toolbox talks and resolve on‑site disputes.
• Perform any additional Quantity Surveyor duties assigned by the Tender Manager or Project Manager.

Required profile

• Professional level experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Familiarity with tender processes, bill of quantities preparation and on‑site coordination.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
