Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The successful candidate will join our construction team to manage project costs from inception to completion. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities while supporting the contract administration process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets and cost plans.
• Carry out quantity take‑offs and produce Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assist in tender preparation, pricing and commercial evaluation.
• Source quotations, evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, and issue tender documents.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and contractual claims.
• Assess subcontractor progress claims and recommend payments.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and expenditures against approved budgets.
• Maintain records of variations, claims and commercial correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams on commercial matters.
• Identify cost and contractual risks and report them to management.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Negotiate and settle variations and subcontractor accounts.
• Prepare and manage final accounts for main contracts and sub‑contracts.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction projects and standard forms of contracts is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and cost‑management abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and coordination skills.
• Detail‑oriented, responsible and able to work independently under pressure.
