Reading Trainer (Full Time)

About the role

The Reading Trainer will deliver engaging, interactive reading classes for primary‑age children using the Enrichment Academy curriculum. The role involves planning, teaching, assessing progress and supporting both students and their parents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct dynamic reading lessons for children aged 3‑8, following the centre’s teaching philosophy and curriculum.
• Prepare and organise teaching aids, worksheets and lesson resources in advance for both weekday and weekend classes.
• Assess and track student progress, maintain accurate records and provide feedback to parents as needed.
• Manage classroom behaviour, ensure a safe learning environment and foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere.
• Support centre operations by assisting with holiday programmes, open houses, trial classes and event coordination.
• Collect and verify associate trainers’ timesheets, arrange relief staff and report on trainer performance.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching primary‑school children and a diploma or degree (preferably in Education).
• Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience with learners aged 3‑8.
• Creative, energetic lesson delivery with strong communication and classroom‑management skills.
• Knowledge of educational pedagogy and child development relevant to young learners.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as core teaching days.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities for lesson preparation.
