Regional Procurement Category Manager - Cables

About the role

The Regional Procurement Category Manager – Cables will lead all procurement activities for the cable category across APAC. You will build a robust supply network, optimise spend, reduce costs and mitigate supply risks while driving innovation and ensuring reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional category strategies, product assortments and procurement plans.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Create and manage category budgets, forecasts and ensure profitability.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate terms and evaluate supplier performance.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, operations and other functions to meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices.
• Lead, motivate and coach a team where applicable.
• Travel across the region for supplier visits, industry events and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 15+ years of procurement experience in a corporate environment.
• At least 5 years of direct leadership experience in a global or multicultural setting.
• Minimum 2 years as a category manager or in a similar procurement role.
• Familiarity with the cable industry and ability to travel throughout APAC.
