Reliability & Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Reliability & Maintenance Technician ensures optimal performance of manufacturing equipment at ResMed. You will support daily operations through preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment setup, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and perform breakdown maintenance activities.
• Set up and configure equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Conduct fault‑finding analysis on equipment.
• Identify, report and coordinate repairs for equipment problems.
• Maintain a work environment that complies with OH&S, 5S and GMP requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to track equipment performance and implement maintenance schedules.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Document and record maintenance activities as required.
• Perform other tasks as needed to help the business meet its goals.

Required profile

• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Good machine electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Team‑oriented work style.
• Willingness to work a 12‑hour, 2‑3‑3‑2 shift pattern.
• Diploma or National Trade Certificate in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or automation.
• Preferred experience in medical manufacturing and high‑volume automated environments.
