Research Assistant – Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies

About the role

The Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies (ALCNS) at the National University of Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant to support a one‑year research project, with the possibility of extension. The role involves managing day‑to‑day project activities, data handling, and supporting the project leader in administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and secretarial support, including organizing research meetings and recording minutes.
• Conduct literature reviews, prepare manuscripts, and assist with progress and final reports.
• Enter, analyse, and maintain data using SPSS and manage trial databases.
• Support ethical applications, participant recruitment, intervention delivery, and data collection at study sites.
• Ensure high standards of professional conduct and accurate record‑keeping.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the project leader.

Required profile

• Degree in nursing, psychology, public health or a related discipline.
• Experience in research project management or an honours degree (preferred).
• Background in interventional research.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• SPSS for data analysis.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
