About the role
A Research Fellow position (equivalent to a Postdoctoral Fellow) is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The successful candidate will conduct research on the hydrodynamic behavior of floating structures.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct wave flume tests and develop numerical/analytical models of floating structures.
- Prepare project reports and publish scientific papers in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Assist the principal investigator in preparing research proposals and supervising research students.
Required profile
- PhD degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Research experience in hydrodynamics and structural dynamics.
- Strong publication record in relevant research areas.
- Effective writing and communication skills.
- Experience supervising research students and preparing research proposals is an advantage.
