Research Fellow – Computer Vision & Deep Learning

About the role

NTU's College of Computing and Data Science is seeking a Research Fellow to advance state‑of‑the‑art computer vision techniques. The role involves developing novel models, publishing research, and collaborating with industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and identify gaps in existing computer vision methods.
• Design, implement, and evaluate cutting‑edge vision‑language models (VLM) and related techniques.
• Train and benchmark models against recent approaches, preparing detailed reports and papers.
• Develop prototype systems for agencies or commercial partners based on research outcomes.
• Supervise junior researchers and master’s students, providing technical guidance.
• Contribute to grant proposals and collaborative projects.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated track record of innovative research and publications in top venues (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS).
• Experience supervising students or junior researchers.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
