Respiratory Technician – Pulmonary Function Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Respiratory Technician to conduct general and exercise‑based pulmonary function tests, manage test appointments and ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function testing for patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring safety and accurate results.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for lung function assessments.
• Carry out equipment calibration, quality checks and routine maintenance of respiratory testing devices.
• Maintain detailed and timely patient records, including procedures performed and results.
• Monitor and order consumables, manage inventories and keep the department clean and safe.
• Participate in hospital‑wide quality‑improvement projects and follow emergency and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Health Science or an equivalent field.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement to ensure patient safety.
