Sales Director – Destinations (APAC)

About the role

Sojern is seeking a Senior Sales Director to lead and expand its digital advertising business for travel destinations across the APAC region. You will own a portfolio of existing strategic clients while acquiring new travel marketers, DMOs, attractions, airports and tourism shopping outlets. The role works closely with the International Destinations Managing Director to shape market strategy and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, acquire and grow an advertising book of business focused on DMOs, attractions, airports and tourism shopping outlets.
• Manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting to contract negotiation and renewal.
• Collaborate with media agencies and direct clients to deliver multi‑channel campaigns (video, display, mobile, paid social, CTV).
• Partner cross‑functionally with product, data and operations teams to create scalable advertising solutions.
• Present strategic proposals and performance insights to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in online advertising sales, preferably within travel or destination marketing.
• Track record of selling multiple ad formats (video, display, mobile, paid social, CTV) and achieving revenue targets.
• Ability to build and nurture strategic partnerships with direct clients, media agencies and regional DMOs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape.
• Strategic, creative thinker who can work cross‑functionally to bring solutions to market.

Required skills

• Experience selling video, display, mobile, paid social and CTV advertising solutions.
• Knowledge of programmatic advertising and data‑driven campaign measurement.
• Ability to develop multi‑channel advertising strategies for travel destinations.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation capabilities.
