Senior Accountant – General Accounting

About the role

Join Siemens EDA’s CF R 7 SW team as a Senior Accountant, responsible for end‑to‑end general accounting activities, from journal entries to financial reporting. You will work in a fast‑paced, international environment, supporting both group and local reporting requirements while contributing to system transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and analyse financial results during month‑end and quarter‑end closes.
• Assess complex financial transactions to ensure proper classification and compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
• Support global standardisation efforts, improve system efficiency, and strengthen governance frameworks.
• Assist in the implementation of the new SAP S/4HANA ERP system and other finance reporting tools.
• Collaborate with finance and business partners to provide clear accounting guidance for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Finance or accounting degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a self‑motivated work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Interest in technology and willingness to support ERP transformation projects.

Required skills

• SAP (including S/4HANA) or NetSuite financial close and reporting systems.
• Data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting standards.
