Senior Civil Project Engineer – MRT Construction

About the role

You will lead the management of contractors delivering new MRT lines and enhancements to existing lines, overseeing both station and tunnel works in elevated and underground environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contractors for the construction of new MRT lines and upgrades to existing lines.
• Oversee station and tunnel construction, both elevated and underground.
• Ensure safety, quality, progress, and environmental impact of contractor works.
• Assist in planning, risk management, and cash‑flow monitoring for contracts.
• Issue work instructions and assess variations, payments, and claims.
• Coordinate interface requirements between civil works and trackwork.

Required profile

• Civil engineering knowledge with familiarity of local codes and transit construction.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Underground construction experience, especially deep excavation and tunnelling, is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil and trackwork interface constraints.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, resourceful, results‑oriented team player.
• Willingness to work from project offices in Changi or Tuas area.
