Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

About the role

TYLin, a global infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join its Singapore office. The role involves leading design activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering complex building and civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.
• Prepare and submit documentation to statutory authorities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to produce design deliverables.
• Develop tender documentation and support the tendering process.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training.
• Manage design, coordination and project control on major projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university and eligibility for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Minimum 5 years of design experience in building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects.
• Familiarity with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with good time‑management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common structural design software.
• Knowledge of precast and prestressed concrete, steelworks, PPVC and MET.
• Experience in design and design management of major building projects (residential, commercial, high‑rise, institutional).
• Experience in civil infrastructure design (roads, drains, utilities, rail alignments).
• Project management and analytical skills.
