Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Multiple Openings

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded software and firmware for high‑performance security products. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure embedded solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software and firmware for Linux‑based platforms.
• Define software architecture, system interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Customize embedded Linux operating systems to meet product requirements.
• Develop, integrate, test, and optimise embedded software components.
• Lead and mentor software engineers, reviewing designs, code, and documentation.
• Promote best practices in secure coding, performance optimisation, and software architecture.
• Integrate software with hardware, perform system‑level testing and support firmware releases, manufacturing, qualification and deployment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture designs and engineering reports while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and quality processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Rust, Python and Bash scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with Embedded Linux platforms and OS customisation.
• Solid understanding of hardware‑software integration and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, routing, switching and network programming.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, GitLab, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience with Linux kernel drivers, C# application development, secure coding or HSM products is a plus.
