Senior Engineer (IT Security)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in IT Security to design, implement and manage our security infrastructure. The role involves protecting our systems, data and services against evolving cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and operate security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, identity management and encryption.
• Lead incident detection, investigation, mitigation and post‑incident analysis to reduce risk.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits, and remediate identified gaps.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards and procedures aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Perform security architecture reviews for new IT systems, cloud services and applications.
• Collaborate with IT, network, application and compliance teams to ensure secure system design and operation.
• Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement of security processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in security engineering, cybersecurity operations or enterprise security management.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH are preferred.

Required skills

• Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, identity and access management solutions.
• Encryption technologies and cloud security.
• Vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security auditing.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Controls.
