Senior Engineer – Test Development (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead test development for a global leader in analytical instruments and mass spectrometry solutions. This 6‑month renewable contract position focuses on designing, coding, and validating automated test software to support new product introductions and engineering improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and validate automated test software using LabVIEW, CVI, and/or C++.
• Develop and qualify manufacturing test solutions to ensure PCB assembly testability.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, reduce cycle times, and boost manufacturing efficiency.
• Investigate component and module failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop test hardware, fixtures, and software.
• Support qualification activities for testers, fixtures, and measurement systems, including calibration and maintenance planning.
• Analyze yield and failure data to enhance test effectiveness and product quality.
• Provide technical support for test transfer, manufacturing ramp‑up, and contract‑manufacturer onboarding.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in functional test development for electronic or instrument modules.
• Strong knowledge of signal analysis, signal processing, and electronic test methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory test equipment setup and configuration.
