Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor – Energy Projects

About the role

The Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor (Energy) will partner with the Project Manager to lead both pre‑award and post‑award activities for large‑scale energy projects. This role involves preparing tender documents, analysing commercial and technical gaps, and managing contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents, conduct gap analysis and pre‑tender estimations.
• Evaluate tenders, recommend award decisions and support contract negotiations.
• Administer post‑contract tasks including payment valuations, cash‑flow projections and cost variance monitoring.
• Manage change control processes, assess claims and maintain rigorous contract correspondence.
• Produce final accounts, cost reports and presentations for clients.
• Conduct value‑engineering and feasibility studies to optimise project costs.
• Interface with clients, contractors and all project stakeholders.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the line manager or business head.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Power or large civil/infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong technical competency in contract and cost management.
• Leadership abilities, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of various Forms of Conditions of Contracts.
