Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – APAC

About the role

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer you will work directly with enterprise customers across APAC to build, deploy, and scale voice AI systems. You will sit at the intersection of customers and engineering, solving complex technical problems, shipping production systems, and shaping the product.

Key responsibilities

• Own customer projects end‑to‑end, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
• Build and deploy voice AI and LLM‑powered applications.
• Develop integrations and production systems using Python and JavaScript.
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and design technical solutions.
• Run technical demos and help customers get the most out of Retell.
• Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to solve customer problems.
• Identify product gaps and collaborate with Engineering to improve the platform.
• Help build Retell’s presence across APAC and travel as needed.

Required profile

• 2+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g., FDE, Solutions Engineer, Technical PM, CSE/Support Engineer).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong software engineering skills, especially in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with AI/LLM systems or other complex technical products.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Based in Singapore or Hong Kong and open to travel across APAC.
