Senior Full Stack Developer (Python/Java/Node.js)

About the role

We are looking for a senior full‑stack developer to join HCLTech’s Singapore team. The role involves building end‑to‑end cloud‑native applications, collaborating with architects and business stakeholders, and ensuring high‑quality delivery in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications using modern technology stacks.
• Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and microservices with Python/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using TypeScript and Next.js.
• Deploy, manage, and support applications running on Kubernetes environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Integrate applications with external systems, REST APIs, and storage backends such as S3 or MinIO.
• Develop and optimise database solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to analyse requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical design discussions.
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability through best engineering practices.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following stacks: Python/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, or TypeScript/Next.js/Node.js.
• Proven experience as an individual contributor.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and software design patterns.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and working with micro‑services architectures.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Experience integrating with external systems and storage solutions such as S3 or MinIO.
• Ability to independently analyse requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
