Senior IT Infrastructure Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join the regional IT team of a global logistics client. This hands‑on role covers end‑user support, Microsoft infrastructure, cloud services, networking, security and overall IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for laptops, mobile devices, printers and business applications.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure and Microsoft SQL environments.
• Perform system administration and troubleshooting in a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and recommend technical improvements.
• Execute Windows/server patching, updates and security hardening.
• Manage network connectivity issues and infrastructure‑related incidents.
• Support data backup, recovery and cloud‑based data management.
• Investigate complex incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and coordinate with vendors.
• Participate in VAPT, IT audit activities and technical remediation.
• Assist with IT Disaster Recovery planning and exercises.
• Monitor service‑desk queue, ensure SLA compliance and provide after‑hours support on a 24x7 rotation.
• Coach junior engineers and take ownership of service‑desk operations when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure and technical support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure and networking concepts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot desktop, server, cloud, SaaS and security environments.
• Experience with system administration, patching, backup/recovery and infrastructure monitoring.
• Familiarity with IT service‑management tools such as ServiceNow or Freshservice.
