Senior Java Microservices Developer – Alibaba Cloud

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Microservices Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications on Alibaba Cloud. The role focuses on backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud‑native technologies while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain robust Java‑based microservices.
• Build RESTful APIs with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Implement persistence using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID principles and clean‑code practices.
• Optimize performance through JVM tuning, profiling and multithreading.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Secure applications with Spring Security, authentication and authorization.
• Deploy and manage services on Alibaba Cloud (ECS, ACK, OSS, RDS, SLB, VPC).
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI and manage builds with Maven or Gradle.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards with SonarQube and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• Strong background in Java (8/11/17) and object‑oriented design.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring ecosystem and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, JVM performance tuning and distributed systems.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms, preferably Alibaba Cloud.
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects, DevOps, QA and product owners.
