Senior M&E Engineer (Electrical Design)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior M&E Engineer to lead the in‑house design of Electrical and ELV systems for industrial projects on Jurong Island. You will be responsible for detailed engineering, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring design compliance with local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed design of MV/LV reticulation, load calculations, voltage drop, fault level, lighting lux simulation, lightning protection, EV charging and access control systems.
• Attend and contribute to design coordination meetings with main contractors, consultants and other trades.
• Work closely with BIM and drafting teams to produce 3D models, design drawings and shop drawings.
• Prepare material requisitions, submittals and assist the site team with testing, commissioning and combined services testing.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations, equipment selection and technical/commercial evaluation.
• Analyse project costs, track budgets and support tender preparation for new projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience in building construction, preferably with Building Services, ELV, lift & escalator works.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore (or overseas) Code of Practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Demonstrated project management capability, including timeline, budget and resource control.
• Experience in tender bidding and cost analysis.
• Professional certifications from BCA, SCDF or PUB are a plus.
