Senior M&E Engineer – Mechanical Design

About the role

We are seeking a Senior M&E Engineer to lead in‑house mechanical design works for building services. You will be responsible for detailed design of ACMV, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary systems, and related calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical system designs, including ACMV, fire protection, and plumbing & sanitary layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and E20 heat‑load assessments.
• Attend design coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and the main contractor.
• Collaborate with BIM and drafting teams to generate 3D models, design drawings, and shop drawings.
• Prepare material requisitions and submittals for mechanical equipment and coordinate with the site team for testing, commissioning, and combined‑services testing.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations, equipment selection, and technical/commercial evaluation.
• Track project costs against budget and support tender preparation for new projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in building construction.
• Good knowledge of Singapore (or overseas) building codes of practice.
• Experience with BCA/SCDF/PUB authority certifications is an advantage.
