Senior Mechanical M&E Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical M&E Engineer to lead the installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems on our industrial projects in Singapore. The role combines on‑site supervision, technical problem‑solving and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site installation works with in‑house supervisors, foremen and subcontractors to meet project schedules.
• Attend coordination meetings with main contractors, consultants and other trades.
• Provide hands‑on technical assistance for mechanical system installation, troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Prepare material requisitions, work programmes and submittals for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Analyse and track project costs against budget, and manage purchase orders and deliveries.
• Carry out testing, combined services testing, and handover of as‑built drawings and O&M documentation.
• Review 3D BIM models to verify installation details and compliance with design specifications.
• Participate in in‑house design work, including detailed design, shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, duct/pipe sizing and equipment selection.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotations, technical and commercial evaluation.
• Support tender preparation for new projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with background in ACMV, fire protection or plumbing & sanitary.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building construction, preferably handling ACMV, fire protection and plumbing works.
• Strong project management capability, able to manage timelines, budgets and resources.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with BIM model review and coordination with other trades.
• Relevant certifications such as Green Mark manager or BCA/SCDF/PUB authority approvals are a plus.
