Senior Platform Engineer - Network Operations

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join its Network Operations Center (NOC). In this role you will ensure the stability and performance of Mastercard’s global network infrastructure, supporting mission‑critical payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and system alerts using "eyes on glass" tools.
• Lead incident response, investigate outages, own problem tickets, and implement fixes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Perform regular system maintenance, hardware and software updates.
• Analyze performance metrics and drive optimization initiatives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, incidents, and reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to ensure integrated operations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network operations within complex IT environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
