Senior Presales Systems Engineer – Dell Technologies

About the role

The Presales Systems Engineer (S7) is a senior technical sales professional who drives growth, win‑rate and customer adoption of Dell Technologies solutions across the South Asia Emerging Markets region. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will shape solution strategies, influence decision‑makers and guide customers from discovery through to closure and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer engagement and technical sales cycles for strategic accounts, including discovery workshops, solution presentations, POCs/POVs and RFP/RFI responses.
• Design end‑to‑end infrastructure architectures using Dell’s portfolio across AI, servers, storage, data protection, HCI, networking, multicloud and as‑a‑Service solutions.
• Drive technical validation through lab testing, define success criteria and document reusable reference architectures.
• Partner with sales teams on account planning, pipeline generation, deal strategy, forecasting and technical negotiations.
• Provide competitive and market intelligence, create sales enablement assets and articulate Dell’s differentiation.
• Mentor junior presales engineers, deliver internal enablement and represent Dell at customer engagements, partner forums and industry events.

Required profile

• 12‑15+ years of presales and solutions architecture experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Proven track record of leading and winning complex enterprise technology deals in regional or multinational environments.
• Strong consultative and commercial acumen with the ability to engage C‑level executives and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring capabilities.
